Ekstrak Daun Jambu Bol (Syzygium Malaccense) sebagai Inhibitor Korosi pada Kawat Ortodontik

Telah dilakukan pengujian inhibitor dari ekstrak daun jambu bol untuk menghambat laju korosi pada kawat ortodontik stainless steel . Penelitian dengan merendam menggunakan yang bertujuan mendapatkan lapisan pelindung permukaan kawat. Pengujian sampel dibagi dalam tiga kelompok berdasarkan lama perendaman yaitu 18 jam, 24 dan 48 jam. Setiap diberi variasi konsentrasi 0 g/L, 2 4 6 8 10 g/L direndam Media korosif berupa air liur buatan atau saliva dibuat komposisi Fusayama Meyer. Pengukuran metode weight loss juga menghasilkan nilai efisiensi inhibisi. Nilai inhibisi maksimal adalah jam sebesar 1,19 mils per year (mpy), inhibisinya 91,71%. Morfologi mengamati mikroskop optik menentukan fasa terbentuk X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Semakin inhibitor, maka teradsorpsi lebih baik semakin kecil. Konsentrasi meningkat akan kecil jika diberikan tepat.
